For women who would like to take the next step in sharing your writing in the world, here are some dates for upcoming circles: Words in the World. Please let me know if you’d like me to save a space for you.

Words in the World
a women’s writing circle on three Sunday afternoons
Choose one, two or all three
Dates: Sunday, March 31; Sunday, April 14; Sunday, May 19, 2019
Time: 1:30 to 4 p.m.

In the Words in the World Circle, we’ll have a look at your writing and help you craft your piece into the best it can be. You’ll find out what really works in your piece of writing and that boost will help keep you going. Bring a poem you have written or a short piece of prose such as post card or flash fiction, with copies to share. (A total of seven if all chairs are filled.) Questions may prompt a fresh look at your writing.

The Words in the World Circle is an opportunity to look at possibilities for places to share your writing.  We’ll also do some writing to boost your writing spirit.

The Words in the World Circle follows the same guidelines as the Writing Life Circle within a space created with intention.

Circle One: Sunday, March 31, 2019, 1:30 to 4 p.m.

Themes:  The importance of  a writing ritual; your body of work; ways to support your writing life (including Nature’s support); a look at your words in progress with a focus on what we appreciate about your work; reading/presenting your work.

Circle Two: Sunday, April 13, 2019, 1:30 to 4 p.m.

Themes: Your creative process; the process journal; acknowledging the gremlins (such as procrastination and perfectionism); creating a system; a look at your words in progress with a focus on what we appreciate about your work; reading/presenting your work.

Circle Three: Sunday, May 19, 2019, 1:30 to 4 p.m.

Themes: Inspirers; your wish list and a “vision resume;” a look at your words in progress with a focus on what we appreciate about your work; reading/presenting your work.

a little about me

I bring many years of experience, passion and playfulness to writing in a circle. I’ve found great delight in building community by sharing my stories with others through publishing, speaking engagements, book launches and other gatherings where our stories matter. My writing mentors include Patrick Lane, Lorna Crozier, and Lee Maracle.
